Ceramic turtle, beach life, dish glazed in grey. Great for a small jewelry holder, a spoon rest, or just sitting on your desk. Hand build of white earthenware clay, then stamped from my carved stamps which makes it very unique. It measures about 3″ in diameter.
THE PIECE PICTURED IS THE PIECE YOU ARE BUYING. IT’S READY TO SHIP! 🙂
IT MAY LOOK DIFFERENT DEPENDING ON YOUR COMPUTER MONITORS.
My earthenware clay pieces are kiln fired and are very durable. The back is also glazed. I hand-make each piece, one at a time, of white earthenware clay, impressed with either stamps, molds, real flowers, or one of my original hand-carved designs. They are all fired in a little kiln in my garage. First I make the impression and let them dry. I then sand them and make them smooth before firing them in a 2000 degree kiln for 18-24 hours. Once out of the kiln, they are ready for glaze. Each pieces is hand painted one at a time, and most are then clear coated to make them extra shiny. I then fire them for another 18-24 hours. My pieces are not flat, they are not perfect but that is all a part of handmade! Your piece will truly be one of a kind. 🙂
I make sure pieces are packaged with care – tucked into a bubble wrap mailer. I strive to ship within 1-3 business days of receiving payment unless otherwise stated.

Pileated Woodpeckers are always at a park I go to. He’s never close enough to get a great shot….. one day. One day. I’m not very proud of this photo. I’m hoping to replace it with a better one, soon.
I’m pretty sure this is a Northern Mocking Bird but his beak is so curved it makes me think it’s a different type of bird. So much to learn!!!
This is a huge Osprey. He is very much wanted OUT of this tree.
One of my favorite birds – American Bittern. Beautiful feathers and coloring.
Been working on a new idea. I love these leather necklaces with pendants tied on with a knot.
These are ceramic pendant necklaces on 19″ brown leather cord.
They are stamped with BE KIND, JOY, BELIEVE OR LOVE on the front.
These are listed in my Etsy shop. If you come by before next Sunday you can get them at 25% off!

- Saw this family of 5 Burrowing Owls near my house. Aren’t they cute?!!?
Just before midnight last night, my next door neighbor called to tell us he had an owl stuck in his garage. He knows how much I love owls and always sees me outside looking for them at night. I was sound asleep when he called, and for a half a second, I was going to blow it off. I’m so glad I didn’t! I went over there and saw this!
At first I thought he was sick. He had his eyes mostly closed the whole time but when I moved, he followed with his head.
After about 10 minutes, I decided we should try to get him out of the garage. My neighbor told me this little guy had been in there for a couple of days.
I used a stick to gently see if he would jump onto it like my husband’s parent’s pet Cockatiel does. He didn’t but, when I put the stick behind him and softly touched his back, he flew to another spot, eyes wide, and his wings looking good.
We ended up turning off the lights so he could see the door was open. After about 3 tries, he flew out. Isn’t he cool!!!???!!!
Have you had any bird adventures lately??
