He knows how much I love owls and always sees me outside looking for them at night.  I was sound asleep when he called, and for a half a second, I was going to blow it off. I’m so glad I didn’t! I went over there and saw this!

 At first I thought he was sick.  He had his eyes mostly closed the whole time but when I moved, he followed with his head.

After about 10 minutes, I decided we should try to get him out of the garage. My neighbor told me this little guy had been in there for a couple of days.

I used a stick to gently see if he would jump onto it like my husband’s parent’s pet Cockatiel does. He didn’t but, when I put the stick behind him and softly touched his back, he flew to another spot, eyes wide, and his wings looking good.

We ended up turning off the lights so he could see the door was open. After about 3 tries, he flew out.  Isn’t he cool!!!???!!!
